Service Description: The Transportation Planning and Programming Division (TPP) of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) created this polygon layer for planning, analysis, and mapping purposes. Area Engineer Offices are the first administrative subdivision under TxDOT Districts. Each district is divided into several area offices, which are generally made up of several counties. Each area office, in turn, is divided into several Maintenance Sections.
