Service Description: City limit boundaries are maintained to enable the classification of roadway inventory attributes, satisfy federal and state roadway reporting requirements, and serve as a base layer for TxDOT's cartographic products. The data was created by the Transportation Planning and Programming Division of TxDOT in the Data Analysis, Mapping and Reporting Branch. City governments submit updates to their city limits as changes are made.
